Jonathan Tilly (Tiley) was born at Colerne, near Bath, Somerset, and enlisted at Bath on 4 April 1805, aged 16 years, for unlimited service. He was ‘wounded by a shell in action at the siege of Burgos 1812 and also by a musket ball in the upper part of the right thigh at Pampeluna in 1813.’ He was discharged at Halifax on 31 October 1826, due to wounds and length of service. Sold with copy discharge papers.
