Frank Woodcock was born in Hadham, Hertfordshire, on 13 July 1873. A Carpenter by trade, he entered the Royal Navy as Carpenter’s Crew on 10 July 1899. Promoted to Leading Carpenter’s Crew and posted to the Arethusa in November that year, he served aboard the ship until April 1900, during which time he qualified for the China medal. He was discharged from the service in 1911. Sold with copied service paper and roll extract.
