30th Anniversary - Midget Submarine Attack on Tirpitz, date stamped 22 September 1973, and ‘dived in H.M. Submarine Rorqual to a depth of 140 feet on 1st November 1973’, signed by the Vice-Admiral Submarines, J. A. R. Troup, D.S.C., who served under “Tubby” Linton, V.C., in the Turbulent, and by Lieutenant-Commander A. T. Lightoller, C.O. of the submarine Rorqual, together with accompanying signature of Rear-Admiral Sir Godfrey Place, V.C., C.B., C.V.O., D.S.C., of Tirpitz raid fame, this latter on H.M.S. Corunna memorandum and dated 1 November 1957, and a related newspaper cutting
