James Wright Moore was born in Yorkshire on 14 May 1884. A Miner by occupation, he enlisted into the 67th Battalion in Vernon, B.C., on in August 1915, but was serving in the 47th Battalion when killed in action on 9 February 1917. He was buried in the Villers Station Cemetery, Villers-au-Bois; sold with copied service papers.
