Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Orange Free State, Relief of Ladysmith, Tugela Heights (3602 Pte. E. Belsten, Glouc. Regt.) some edge bruising, nearly extremely fine, rare clasps to regiment £180-220

Edward John Belsten was born in Redland, Bristol. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the Gloucestershire Regiment at Bristol on 20 June 1892, aged 18 years, 10 months. With them he served in Malta, November 1893-October 1895; Cyprus, October 1895-November 1896; India, February 1897-December 1899; South Africa, December 1899-August 1900; and Ceylon, August 1900-December 1902. Belsten was transferred to the Army Reserve in August 1903 and discharged in June 1904.
