China 1857-60, 1 clasp, Taku Forts 1860 (Hamilton Marshall, 44th Regt.) officially impressed naming, minor marks, otherwise good very fine and a rare casualty £300-400

Private Hamilton Marshall was killed in action at the capture of the Taku Forts, 21 August 1860. The 44th had 10 men killed and 2 officers and 47 men wounded, four of whom died from their wounds. Marshall had previously served at Sebastopol from 8 January 1855.
