Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Driefontein (2562 Pte. A. Davey, 1st Essex Regt.), nearly extremely fine £70-80

Private Arthur Davey, was born in the Parish of Brightlingsea, near Colchester, Essex. A seaman by trade, he entered the Essex Regiment in 1889, aged 19 years. He served with his regiment in the Boer War and was discharged in 1902 after completing his period of limited engagement.
