1914-15 Star (Ply.8456 Cpl., R.M.L.I.); British War and Victory Medals (Ply.8456 Cpl., R.M.L.I.) together with companion miniatures (but with 1914 Star) and identity disc fashioned out of a German East Africa silver one rupie coin inscribed ‘Sadani Augst. 1916’, generally good very fine (7) £40-50

Corporal F. C. Parsons was present aboard H.M.S. Pegasus when she was sunk by the Königsberg off Zanzibar on 20 September 1914. He was subsequently transferred to Hyacinth in January 1915 and was landed for service with the East African Expeditionary Force, 1 August to 7 September 1916. Sold with copy service record.
