The British War Medal awarded to Leading Seaman J. Brady, Drake Battalion, Royal Naval Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, a veteran of Gallipoli who was awarded the M.M. for bravery in France, and was wounded in action, 13 November 1916

James Brady was born in November 1895, and he resided in Doncaster and was a miner by trade. He enlisted in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve in May 1915, and was drafted to the Drake Battalion in September of the same year. He served in Gallipoli and the French theatre of war, and was wounded in action 13 November 1916. Brady was demobilised 10 March 1919.
