55 medals with this combination of bars issued to the R.N. and R.M.. This is believed to be the only example issued to a Sick Berth rating.

William George Dodd was born at Southampton on 22 November 1875, and joined the Royal Navy as an Assistant Sick Berth Attendant on 2 November 1875. He served aboard Euryalus from January 1882 to July 1885. During his naval career he rose to Sick Berth Steward in March 1883 but, having spent two periods in cells and had demotions on three occasions, he was discharged to ‘shore as undesirable’ on 9 November 1888.
