Army Meritorious Service Medal, E.VII.R. (Q.M. Sjt. W. Merrison, 2/1/Foot) edge bruising, very fine £200-250

William Merrison, a Blacksmith by trade, enlisted into the Army in May 1855. He served 21 years in Guernsey, the Mediterranean, China and India and was additionally entitled to the L.S. & G.C. Medal and China medal with clasps for Pekin and Taku Forts. Awarded the M.S.M. with an annuity of £10 on 18 January 1911. Sold with copied service papers.
