Charles Mac Sturges was born at Fulham, Middlesex and lived at Godalming, Surrey. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 29 April 1918 whilst serving with the 30th Divisional Signal Company, Royal Engineers and his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
