Frederick Rogers was born in Fareham, Hampshire, and living in Lower Beeding, Sussex, enlisted at Portsmouth. Serving with the 113th Heavy Battery R.G.A. Rogers won the M.M. for bravery. He was killed in action, serving with the same unit, on 3 October 1917. He was buried in the Hibers Trench Cemetery, Wancourt, Pas de Calais, France.
