A mounted group of six miniature dress medals attributed to Lieutenant-Commander D. J. P. O’Hagan, Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve

George Medal, G.VI.R., with slide-on Bar for Second Award; 1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; Canadian Voluntary Service Medal 1939-45, with overseas clasp; War Medal 1939-45, together with a pair of R.C.N.V.R. Lieutenant-Commander’s uniform rank epaulettes and related officer’s cap badge, good very fine (9) £30-50

Denis James Patrick O’Hagan was awarded his G.M. for mine disposal work at the Central Electric Power Station at Trafford Park, Manchester on 22-26 December 1940 (London Gazette 27 June 1941 refers), and Bar to the same decoration for similar work at Nuneaton, Warwickshire, on 22-31 May 1941, the latter occasion originally attracting a recommendation for the G.C. (London Gazette 9 June 1942); sold with a very comprehensive file of research, including copied service record, recommendations, etc.
