Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (2) (Frederick James Pepper; Robert Layland) good very fine (2) £50-70

Robert Layland was born in and enlisted at Barnsley. Serving with the 8th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment, he was killed in action in Italy, 16 June 1918, aged 19 years. He was buried in the Barenthal Military Cemetery, Italy. He was the son of Ada and the late Robert Layland of 316 Barnsley Road, Cudworth, Near Barnsley. Sold with commemorative scroll.
