Wilfrid Brittain Squirl-Dawson was born in Dunster, Somerset in 1883, and resided with his parents at Higham Lodge, Higham, Suffolk. He was commissioned into the Suffolk Regiment in October 1902. Squirl-Dawson served during the Great War with the 3rd Battalion, attached 2nd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment on the Western Front from 15 September 1914. He advanced to Captain, and died in St. Audrys Hospital, Melton, Suffolk in March 1966.
