Edward Richard Ridgley was born at Sutton, Surrey, on 5 April 1877, and enlisted into the Royal Marines at London on 3 December 1896. He was posted to the Royal Marine Artillery as a Gunner 2nd Class in May 1897 and was promoted to Gunner the following November. He served aboard
Barfleur from October 1898 to January 1901 and was discharged on 1 September 1901. Sold with copied record of service.
