Born and enlisted Hastings, Sussex, 6th Battalion, killed in action, France & Flanders 3.5.1917. The lot includes 4 pages from the War Diary giving details of the action at Monchy on the 3rd May. During these operations the battalion’s casualties were 14 Officers and 360 Other Ranks, killed, wounded and missing.
