SAVE THE DATE NOVEMBER BRITANNIA MEDAL FAIR

25 September 2019

Dix Noonan Webb, Britain’s biggest auctioneer of orders, medals and decorations, are pleased to announce the dates for the next three Britannia Medal Fairs. The first will be Sunday, November 17, 2019 and this will be followed by Sunday, April 26, 2020 and Sunday, November 15, 2020.

The
fair, which is open from 9.30 to 14:00, continues to be held at the Victory Services Club in central London (63/79 Seymour Street, London, W2 2HF) where it has attracted dealers and collectors for more than 30 years.

It is the only dedicated medal fair in London. Comprising more than 50 stands, it attracts dealers and auctioneers from throughout the UK and is the perfect place to see a wide variety of medals, principally British but also some Foreign Orders and Decorations. Prices for medals range from £10 up to five figures and there are also opportunities to see highlights from forthcoming auctions as well as bring along medals for valuation, or possible sale. DNW will unveil their catalogue for the December Medal sale at the November Fair.

Fair Organiser Mark Carter, who has exhibited at each Britannia Fair except one since it started over 30 years ago, commented: "I'm delighted to report that we are already fully booked for the November fair and have a small waiting list which ensures a totally full house again. Just two stallholders from the March fair were unavailable this time and their places were swiftly filled. The fair resumes it's international feel with the return of Jean-Pierre Kantor from Belgium and Joe Hardman from the U.S.A.. Not quite as great a distance but Scotmint (Ayr) and Andrew Jukes (Hexham) will be making the long drive "down South" again. There has already been a great amount of interest shown so everyone is looking forward to another successful day."

Oliver Pepys, Auctioneer, Medals and Militaria, Dix Noonan Webb, commented: “Since DNW took over took over Britannia, the fair has gone from success to success. As well as being a place for dealers to sell and collectors to buy, the DNW Britannia Medal Fair also performs a vital social function: contacts and friendships are made and strengthened, information is exchanged, and knowledge is enhanced.”

Entry is free to the Fair and there is no charge for trade stands. Priority is given to current and recent stallholders but newcomers are encouraged.
