A LIMITED EDITION COMMISSION FOR KING CHARLES’S CORONATION IN 2023

While the focus might have been on the Crown Jewels and regalia during the Coronation of King Charles III on May 6, other commissions marked the Royal occasion.

One was the creation of a rare, limited edition stainless steel Bremont diver’s wristwatch for members of The Royal Household, one of which is offered in this sale.

The watch was limited to a production run of 50 pieces, only available to those working for, or closely associated with, The Royal Household. The dial display’s the King’s cypher and the darkened 8 o’clock baton is in acknowledgement of the day Charles acceded to the throne on his mother’s death on 8th September 2022, with the case back depicting the Royal Standard.

Bremont is an award-winning luxury watch brand based in Henley-on-Thames, England. Founded by brothers Nick and Giles English in 2002, the company produces watches inspired by their love of flying and is based on the ideals of British watchmaking. All their watches are either COSC or ISO chronometer rated, and hand built in the UK.

The ref. S500 Supermarine timepiece has a BE-36AE, automatic and antimagnetic movement with calendar and 25 jewels. Its dark blue dial is applied with Arabic and baton indexes and has apertures for day (in French & English) and date, as well as the King’s cypher at 6 o’clock.

Signed to the case, dial, movement and buckle, it comes with warranty card, ISO 3159 certificate, instructions booklet, Nato strap, strap tool and presentation case.

The estimate is £4,000-7,000.
