53rd (Shropshire) Regiment, a rare Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate, c. 1810-15 (not recorded in Parkyn), rectangular gilt back plate with silver mounts, a crowned garter, ‘Shropshire’ with ‘53’ within, laurel wreath surround, reverse with two hooks, these slightly bent, and two hooks, and impressed with retailer’s mark ‘Prosser, Charing Cross’, gilt rubbed, otherwise excellent condition for age £500-700
