Military General Service 1793-1814, 5 clasps, Talavera, Albuhera, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Nive (P. Wilcock, Drumr., 31st Foot) minor edge bruising, nearly extremely fine £800-1000

Philip Wilcock, a Spinner by trade, served in the 31st Foot from 25 April 1805 until the reduction of the regiment on 19 August 1821. He appeared before the Board at Kilmainham on 29 August 1821 and was admitted. His documents record that he was ‘wounded superficially on the internal part of the right thigh at Bayonne 1813’. Clasps confirmed - he was the only man of the regiment to receive the above combination. Sold with copied papers.
