Philip and Mary (1554-1558), Uniface lead seal, dated 1587, Tudor rose in centre, gvilhelmvs almandetez 1587 around, decorated border, 55mm, somewhat irregular, pierced for suspension, sold with a letter from the British Museum Department of Medieval and Later Antiquities. Showing some corrosion but detail strong and clear, well preserved for a base metal object of the period (£50-60)
