British War Medal 1914-20 (K. 1639 R. A. Oliver. Sto. 1. R.N.), with Memorial Plaque (Robert Alexander Oliver) very fine (6) £80-120
Robert Alexander Oliver was the son of John Oliver of 17 Obelisk Road, Woolston, Southampton. He served during the Great War as a Stoker 1st Class in the Royal Navy, and was serving in H.M.T.B. 90 when she capsized and sank off Gibraltar, 25 April 1918. Oliver is commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial.
