India General Service 1936-39, 1 clasp, North West Frontier 1936-37, M.I.D. Oak Leaf, this loose (Jemdr. Shiama, 3-15 Punjab R.) nearly very fine £80-£100
M.I.D. London Gazette 18 February 1938:
‘For distinguished services rendered in connection with the operations in Waziristan, North West Frontier of India, 17th January to 15th September 1937.’
Shiama enlisted in the Indian Army in December 1916, and served during the Great War in Iraq, 22 November 1917 - 31 October 1918. He served on the North West Frontier and was also entitled to an I.G.S. 1908-35 with ‘Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919’ and ‘Waziristan 1921-23’ clasps.
