Henry VIII (1509-1547), Second coinage, Groat, Tower, mm. rose, large face with Roman nose, crown within inner circle, Lombardic lettering, reads d g r and franc, saltires in cross-ends, 2.81g/7h (Whitton (i), 3; Laker D; N 1797; S 2337E). A trifle weak in first quarter of reverse, otherwise very fine, toned £150-£200
