Issued by the Monnaie in 1964. Nicolas Poussin (1594-1665), the great French painter-philosopher of the baroque age, spent most of his working life in Rome; Pierre Bouret (1897-1972), sculptor and medallist, was for many years a teacher at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts
