Trumpeter August Fullkrug’s discharge papers record that the Medical Board at Hannover in 1816, which granted him a pension, noted that he suffered a ‘diseased testicle as a result of a fall from his horse at Meninwhich. Entirely unable to contribute to his livlihood.’
A total of only 43 MGS Medals to the 2nd Hussars K.G.L., mostly with the single clasp for Barrosa. The 2nd Hussars of the Legion were not brought up to Waterloo, but left in occupation of a line of posts on the French frontier, extending from Courtrey, through Menin, Ypres, Loo, and Fürnes, to the North Sea, which line they had been holding since the end of March.
