James II (1437-1460), Halfgroat, Edinburgh, mm. cross fourchée on obv., crown on rev., tressure of nine arcs, trefoils on cusps except at bottom, lis to right of crown, rev. three pellets in first and fourth quarters, crown in second and third quarters, 1.64g/12h (SCBI 35 –; B 2; S 5243). Obverse smoothed and about fine, reverse better, extremely rare (£350-400)
