Thomas Frape was born at Basingstoke, Hampshire, and enlisted at Maidenhead on 16 June 1884, a baker by trade, aged 18 years 4 months. He served in the Upper Nile Expedition from October 1885 to April 1886, and in South Africa from February 1898 to October 1902. He was discharged on 30 September 1905. Sold with copy discharge papers which confirm all medals and clasps.
