Italy, Giovanni Galeazzo Visconti (1351-1412), Governor of Milan, large bronze, uniface oval portrait plaque, dated 1396, bust of Visconti left, in a decorative draped garment, armorial shield and coronet below, 110 x 157 mm. Nearly extremely fine and a good cast, with an attractive dark patin (£150-200)
This portrait plaque is presumed to be of eighteenth or nineteenth century work. It would appear to be unpublished, as no reference to it can be found.
