James III (1460-1488), Light issue, c.1482, Groat, Edinburgh, mm. cross fleury, crown with five spikes. rev. mullets in first and fourth, pellets in second and third quarters, reads edinbvrg, 2.46g/8h (SCBI 35, 759, same dies; B 21, fig. 604; S 5281). Somewhat double-struck and the portrait rather weak, otherwise about very fine, extremely rare £300-400
