Sold with a hallmarked silver framed photograph of the ‘London Lions’ Ice Hockey team, the frame surmounted with the enamelled badge of the London Lions and inscribed ‘St Moritz 26-27. To Colonel F. A. Reid, C.M.G., from the Lions.’
Colonel Frank Aspinall Reid was a prominent Canadian sportsman and businessman from London, Ontario. He was created C.M.G. in 1918 in recognition of his services as Director of Recruiting and Organization, and as Acting Adjutant General of Canadian Overseas Military Forces during the Great War.
