RFC Pilot’s Hall Marked Silver Cigarette Case, 2nd Lieut. A. J. Gibson killed in action 17.3.1917, the cigarette case by ‘JR of Birmingham’ engraved with the cap badge of the RFC and the initials ‘AJG’. Gibson was flying a Nieuport 17 of 15 Squadron between Lille, Menin and Courtrai. He was seen to go into a spin after being attacked by Lt. P. Straehle of Jasta 18. Sold together with photostat copies of Gibson’s Service Record, very good condition £200-300
