CRIMEA 1854-55, 3 clasps, Alma (tailor's copy), Inkermann, Sebastopol, officially impressed naming; NEW ZEALAND 1845-66, reverse dated, 1863-1866 (Clr. Sergt.); ARMY L.S. & G.C., V.R. (Cr. Sergt.); TURKISH CRIMEA, Sardinian issue, with replacement scroll suspender, contact marks therefore good fine and better (4)

Sold with an original copy of 'Experiences of a British Veteran Soldier' by Thomas McKiernan, Colour Sergeant, late 50th (Queen's Own) Regiment; published in South Wales, 1892, 162 pages. The book contains a portrait photograph of the recipient and covers his experiences throughout the Crimean campaign and the Maori wars and provides a fascinating insight into a soldiers life in the Victorian Army.
