Sergeant Calvert served with the 6th Battalion which fought in Normandy from 11 June 1944 to 8 August 1944 and in that short period it had 19 officers and 350 men killed or wounded. The group is sold with copies of the relevant pages from The History of the D.W.R. 1919-52, and The History of the D.W.R. 1702-1902, by Major J.M. Brereton and Major A.C.S. Savory.
