1768. Aanvang van het Nieuwe Jaar [Commencement of the New Year], silver medal by Holtzhey, figure representing the New Year, DEVS VERTAT BENE above, reverse seated figure of Hollandia dropping flowers on to a flaming altar, 45mm (v.Loon 417; KPK 3185). Very fine but a little scuffed, cleaned in the past (£100-120)
