Henry John Middleton was born at Stepney, Middlesex, on 3 March 1870, and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 22 September 1885. He was aboard H.M.S. St George for all three campaigns in Africa for which he received his medal. He was discharged to pension as a Petty Officer 1st Class in March 1910. Sold with copy service record.
