Ronald George Furzeman was born in Plymouth on 5 February 1910 and was employed by the Royal Navy as a Joiner at H.M. Naval Base Devonport. He was awarded his Imperial Service Medal upon his retirement in 1970 (London Gazette 21 April 1970).
