Frederick Badger was a native of Battersea, London. He served during the Great War with the 1/3rd (City of London) Battalion, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers) in the French theatre of war from 6 January 1915. Badger was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion, 25 September 1918, and advanced to Lieutenant, 25 March 1920.
Sold with Commission appointing recipient as Second Lieutenant in the Territorial Force, dated 25 September 1918; letter from the War Office informing recipient of his promotion to Lieutenant, dated 14 October 1920; and a 3rd City of London Regiment recruiting card.
