Candahar Ghuznee Cabul 1842 (Serjt. Joseph Nibb H.M. 40th. Regt.) fitted with original steel clip and bar suspension, pitting, probably from Gwalior Star, polished, with rust to clip and suspension, therefore nearly very fine £300-£400

Joseph Nibb was promoted Sergeant in September 1840, and served with the 40th Foot in both the First Afghan War, and also in the Gwalior Campaign, where he was wounded in action.
