The 3rd Parachute Chasseur Regiment (3e Régiment de Chasseurs Parachutistes) was a Free French unit in the Second World War that was incorporated into the British Army and was designated as the 3rd S.A.S. Regiment. Officially constituted on 6 June 1943, the Regiment wore British uniforms, with the S.A.S insignia on their berets, and either the parachute brevet of the Free French Forces or the operational wings of the S.A.S. The unit was disbanded upon the cessation of hostilities- as a result all insignia of the 3rd Parachute Chasseur Regiment/ 3rd S.A.S. Regiment was only manufactured and issued in a narrow two-year period.
