Arthur Mills was born in Littlehampton, Sussex in September 1878. He joined the Royal Navy as a Stoker 2nd Class in October 1900. Mills served in H.M.S. Naiad, March 1901 - August 1904, and advanced to Stoker 1st Class in July 1906. He was ‘Discharged Dead’ at Torquay, 26 April 1912.
