Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Seventh issue, Halfcrown, mm. 2, bust 9B, sceptre to e of regina, later lions and lis, 14.84g/8h (BCW 2-1:2-a; Davies 1/1; N 2013; S 2583A). Fields tooled and the date 1813 lightly scratched in first quarter of reverse, otherwise very fine and toned, portrait better, extremely rare; less than 20 specimens known, of which this is one of the finest £7,000-£9,000
