George III (1760-1820), Soho Mint, Birmingham, Proof Halfpenny, 1806 (late Soho), in bronzed-copper, obv. from an altered currency die, laureate bust right, wreath of 11 leaves, brooch of 8 jewels of which the uppermost is very small, k . on shoulder, rev. Britannia seated left, olive branch with 10 leaves and 3 berries, line under soho, ship with large flag at stern, edge centre-grained, 9.47g/6h (BMC 1369 [KH 41]; S 3781). Some light spotting, otherwise good extremely fine, scarce £200-£260
