Waterloo 1815 (Serj. Joseph Seth, 1st Batt. 92nd Highlanders) fitted with steel clip and later ring suspension, edge bruising and contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine £1600-1800

Joseph Seth was born in the Parish of Falkland, Fifeshire, and enlisted into the 92nd Highlanders on 24 November 1803, aged eighteen. He served as a Private for 4 years 182 days, as a Corporal for 5 years 201 days, being promoted to Sergeant in about November 1813. He was present at the battle of Toulouse and fought at Waterloo in Captain John Warren’s company. He was discharged in the rank of Colour Sergeant at Hull on 31 August 1816, in consequence of ‘an Order dated Horse Guards 13th August 1816, he is desired to proceed to Chelsea for the purpose of appearing before the Board.’ Sold with copy discharge papers.
