Leading Stoker Samuel Callard Webber, son of Frederick and Mary Ann Webber, and a native of Paignton, Devon; was killed on 16 June 1919. Having served in and survived the Boer and Great Wars, he was killed aboard the paddle minesweeper Kinross of 800 tons, when she hit a mine in the Aegean Sea.
In a published roll the Q.S.A. Medal to S. C. Webber is listed as being ‘returned’.
