23rd Lancashire Artillery Volunteers, a very rare other ranks white metal QVC helmet plate 1878-80 only, Royal Arms with ‘23rd’ top scroll and ‘Lancashire Artillery Volunteers’ at the bottom; 2nd Lancashire Artillery Volunteers, a scarce other ranks white metal QVC helmet plate 1878-1901, Royal Arms with ‘Second’ top scroll and the bottom as before, slight strengthening repair to the unicorn’s head area on the second item, otherwise very good condition (2) £260-300
