Buttons, British Army, a carded display of officers’ large tunic 1855-81 issues, a very fine and comprehensive collection from 1st Foot to the 109th inclusive, plus the following variants: both 1st Foot, facing pairs to the 5th & 8th Ft, 11th ‘North Devon’ & ‘Regiment’, 21st with and without scalloped edge, both 23rds (the XXIII type possibly a last pattern coatee), both 42nds, 43rd laurels and bugle horn type (with and without rim), three patterns 65th (one of the ‘Tiger’ patterns probably a last pattern coatee), both 88ths, three 89ths (with and without the ‘dot’ and coronet type), both 90ths, both 91sts, both 99ths, an extra 104th being a KC mess waiter’s, an extra 105th (CV bugle horn type, again a mess waiter’s), plus an 11th Foot coatee (North Devon), the 2nd, 9th, 24th, 45th, 50th & 71st with some rubbing, otherwise very good condition overall (130) £1800-2200
