1914-15 Star (1743 Cpl., W. Rid. R.); British War and Victory Medals (1743 Sjt., W. Rid. R.) surname incorrectly given as ‘Rowland’ on all three medals, contact wear, therefore nearly very fine (3) £60-80

George Oswald Rowlands was born at Emley, Wakefield, Yorkshire and enlisted at Kirkburton. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 3 June 1917 whilst serving with the Machine Gun Corps and is buried at Rue-du-Bois Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France. Sold with copy m.i.c. confirming change of regiments.
